Adventures in Mercy has closed the comment section of this entry, and I wanted to note some things here, because I am interested in Ministry Watchman and their article on Vision Forum's Allosaur video, which paleontologist Joe Taylor, an eyewitness to the events of that video, has said is rife with falsehood.
It now appears that Vision Forum is posting some very strong statements about Joe Taylor, and this was disclosed on Molly's blog in the comment section:
Truth Seeker:
Has everyone read attorney Ed Watt’s statement on Joe Taylor’s claim about Raising the Allosaur? Here’s a link. Perhaps you should all take a minute and pause before you continue to believe people who don’t present the facts.
http://www.visionforum.com/about/issues/al/
[The above link contains links to more links, including the BCA statement about the Epsteins, and Matt Chancey's articles (which come across as dirty negative political campaign ads, accusing Jennifer Epstein of being the lady in the picture on Ministry Watchman's website, among other unprovable and unsupported claims.]
Also, I believe that if you were to really investigate Peter Hammond you would find a lot of dirt on him as well. Brad Phillips didn’t steal any copyright from Peter Hammond. When the truth gets out on this one everyone who received a false report is going to look really bad. Now that Ed Watt has issued a statement we can see that VF has acted above board on this issue. They were not allowed to comment on the issue.
I hope this will start to clear things up for those that believe all the lies that MW and the Epstein’s continue to tell.

Truth Seeker — on the Vision Forum’s website, there is a link for the “Independent Investigation” by Matt Chancey. “Independent”???
http://www.visionforum.com/hottopics/blogs/dwp/2006/08/1662.aspx — Matt Chancey is linked by Doug Phillips because Chancey wrote about VF’s Entreprenurial Bootcamp.
http://www.visionforum.com/hottopics/blogs/dwp/2006/07/ — Phillips thanks Chancey for providing live blogging from another VF event.
http://www.visionforumministries.org/issues/news_and_reports/the_message_of_history_kiss_th.aspx — Last August, Chancey wrote an article for VF, which is copyrighted by VF.
VF sells a product of Matt Chancey’s wife.
Oher places online, you can find things written by Jennie Chancey with the byline “Jennie Chancey of the Vision Forum.”
Idependent Investigation is hardly a truthful label to give Matt Chancey’s silly blog about Mrs. Binoculaurs (which I still don’t think I get the point of).
Justice Prima also responded:
Truth Seeker- interesting. I see that the DeRosas were forced to pay the bulk of the money they received for the Allosaurus to Joe Taylor, proving that his claims have merit. I see that while the person who bought the allosaurus from them is somebody they owed money to, I see that the lawyer claims the DeRosas received no money because they plowed the remaining funds they got into ‘ministry expenses (and I want to know if their salaries were any part of those ‘ministry expenses), and I see that Vision Forum links to infamous Mrs. Binoculars pages falsely labeled as ‘independent investigative reports.’ Chancey’s three webpages on this issue are disgraceful and they ought to be embarrassing to anybody associated with them. That VF links to them as credible is shameful, and it’s not going to help them with any truly ‘independent’ observers.
Please be in prayer for this situation with Joe Taylor and what is going on with Vision Forum, that the truth will come out, and that the truly innocent would be protected and defended from on high.

Sorry about the closed comments box and I'm so glad you picked this up over here. I really agree---there is SOMEthing going on here, and VF's response is less than adequate, to say the least.
Don't be sorry. I just wanted to make sure people are alerted to this matter.
To me, the attorney statement proved they defrauded Joe. But notice that DP never signs anything. He never puts his name on the front line. Several people are starting to notice this pattern.
And to link to Matt as some sort of credible source is amusing. Not only is the article like a fleet street rag piece, but Matt is not exactly Mr. Integrity considering the recent article from WaPo and his political tactics.
I find it funny that Truthseeker tells us:
"Now that Ed Watt has issued a statement we can see that VF has acted above board on this issue. "
It seems that people would truly like us to believe that a statement made on behalf of VF is automatically to be counted as absolute truth when it is their official statements all along that are being said to be filled with untruths.
Lynn, isn't this some sort of error in logic? Begging the question?
From what "dirt" I can dig up on Hammond, they are all allegations made by the Muslim govt. in Sudan. It doesn't seem implausible that they would hate Hammond for his Christianity and for helping the people of Sudan who are being terrorized by the Muslim govt. Also, he wrote a book against homosexuality and it has caused homosexuals to rise up against him, too.
myderbe gave some links to Matt Chancey's connection to Vision Forum, and mentioned Jennie Chancey's connection to them. Here are a couple of links detailing Jennie's connection (there are more out there):
1. Vision Forum has one of her books on their site:
http://www.books-by-isbn.com/0-9755263/
Vision Forum --
Jennie Chancey: Jennie B. and the Pilot
2. Jennie spoke at a Vision Forum's Father-Daughter retreat:

"Jul. 18, 2005 - Jennie Chancey's Message From Vision Forum's Father/Daughter Retreat ~ Free Download!"
I don't know what kind of idiots they think we are to call this thing an "independent investigation," but I am getting more and more insulted the more I read about this issue, especially since they don't have the spiritual fortitude to say they are sorry for talking like this.
Oh, why not? Here are yet more links which show how "independent" Matt Chancey's investigation is:
Jennie Chancey Responds to Titus 2 Cynics
THE BLESSING of the HOPE CHEST
by Jennie Chancey of the Vision Forum
The Vision Forum outfit was designed by noted Regency seamstress Jenny Chancey
And here is the Washington Post link Lindon talked about.
I bet that somehow Chancey qualifies as "independent," and that buying a domain name is legal, but this sure is a sleazy way to do business, in my opinion.
What kills me is that Mrs Chancey is 'chastising' a man...A MAN...A CHRISTIAN MAN...for what he wrote!
Isn't this against their 'religion' :o)
Stealing Tim Kaines name for a domain name is not illegal but certainly immoral and unethical.
Think Biblically, Stealing a man's name to do him harm? Think of the importance of names in scripture and how names are treated.
The more I see of Matt Chancey, the more I see he does not fear God at all. I fear for him!
Lindon, not only a Christian man was she firmly chastising, rebuking and correcting but a PASTOR!!
It seems some women get a pass when they challenge men of God but others are called rebellious and Jezebels, or Mistress Jezzie as Phillips writes in his patriarchal poetry.
You two must be talking about where Jennie, the feminine woman, thoroughly upbraids Reverend Sandlin with observations such as this:
"A simple glance at the domain which the wife is commanded to oversee and rule — yes, rule — should demonstrate beyond a doubt that it is not possible to be an effective, capable keeper at home while pursuing another (outside) occupation."
Then Jennie goes on to talk about the Proverbs 31 woman, and forgets to discuss that selling manufactured goods and purchasing a farm are "outside" occupations.
At any rate, my friend, who is an emergency room physician on the weekend shift, volunteers with AWANA, sews beutifully, cooks, has three children of her own and they adopted a baby from China a couple years ago, . . . and my friend the RN, who works part time now that her children are grown, and keeps a nice looking house, has taught healthy cooking a time or two to the ladies at our church, . . . and my pastor's wife, whose daughters are grown and serving the Lord, teaches in a Christian school, would just roll their eyes at Jennie's statement.

I agree, and if you look at Watt's copying and pasting of the original arbitration quote, you will find that there are two periods after the first sentence, and there are no end quotation marks at the end of the quote.
What Watt said is that Taylor violated the terms of the original arbitration in his recent internet comments. I would like to know what the full arbitration agreement was for, and I would like to know if there was some kind of statute of limitations on it, etc., etc.. Does anybody know?
Here is what Mr. Watt copied in about Taylor. I'm not going to put any quotes around it, just to leave it as it is. Note the two periods and the lack of end quotation marks:
“No party will disparage or defame any other party.. The parties expressly agree there will be no criticism by Taylor of the “Raising the Allosaur” movie. Taylor agrees not to distribute the movie known as “The Truth About the Raising of the Allosaur.” All parties agree to remove from their own websites or publications any derogatory comments about the Raising the Allosaur movie or about any party to this Settlement Agreement.
You know what? Chancey's "mrsbinoculars" site strikes me as funnier and funnier the more I think about what is going on here. I've said it before, but . . .
Vision Forum called "mrsbinoculars.com" an "independent investigation," yet we can plainly see all the connections the Chancey family has to Doug Phillips, his brother Brad, and Vision Forum.
But what Chancey is doing is trying to make us think a picture of a nose that is *not* identical to Jen's nose means Jen has all these connections to Ministry Watchman.
It's like that old saying, "look at the pot calling the kettle black!" It is ridiculous. I mean, if it is so horrible that Jen is somehow (in a way that cannot be conclusively demonstrated) connected to Ministry Watchman, wouldn't it be a more horrible matter that Chancey is accusing Jen, because he *is* connected in so many demonstrable ways to Vision Forum?
I mean, just by VF claiming it was an independent investigation makes the points Chancey tried to make look absolutely silly, in light of his wife's book being sold by VF, Chancey's working for Doug's brother, etc..
Jen Epstein looks to be a lot more independent from MW at this point than Chancey is from VF.
I wonder what the Chancey/Phillips/Sproul connection is as well. VF is acting similar to Ligonier did with their statements hidden on their website, and the time they seem to spend "shooting the messenger" on other blogs under various aliases.
The whole Mrs. Binoculars website is so ridiculous, I cannot believe anyone could possibly begin to think it is credible at all.
So what if Jen were Mrs. Binoculars? Does it change the facts?
Ligonier defrauded Kistler. Ligonier, a donor supported ministry pays the family approximately $1M dollars a year.
VF appears guilty of fraud with the whole Allosaur thing. If they were NOT guilty, the video would still be for sale, and they would not have settled with Joe Taylor.
Met here -- forgot password. I'm trying to recover after laughing myself sick over that "mrs-binoculars" nonsense. Lemme get this straight:
Matt Chancey's accusation about Jen Epstein is an "independent investigation" that somehow negates everything said on MW about "Raising the Allosaur"?????
Oh, well -- I guess I just don't "hear from God" like these good folks do. Must be my bitterness getting in the way of my seeing such beautiful logic.
Sheesh on a cracker!
Met, and to think many of the people involved here have had close involvment and/or impact in the higher echelons of the Federal Government. It's kind of scary.
As a friend of my father's would say to me, as my father would talk about some of the bumbling stuff that happened over in the European theatre of WWII -- "AND WE WON THE WAR???!!!!"
Further on to Chancey's ability to be "independent", in his blog he mentions a trip he took to China with Howard Phillips, Doug and Brad's father.
He's spoken at Howard Phillips' Constitution Party events too.
My impression is that Chancey is the Phillips' family's right hand man and about as far from "independent" or unbiased as can be.
